Hostilities in the Donetsk region remain very active. Constant shelling keeps destroying grids and equipment. Despite all risks, energy workers continue repairs. They have restored electricity to 770 settlements over the course of December, thus restoring electricity to homes of 429,969 families.

Including last week of the year, when DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have restored power to 342 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 168,000 families.

Emergency crews of the energy company repair lines, damaged by the enemy, and are doing everything possible to restore power to settlements, affected by shelling. However, energy workers do not always have access to the work sites due to the security situation in the region. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of a full-scale war, energy workers have restored electricity to a total of almost 3 mln households in the Donetsk region*.

Let us remind that abnormal bad weather raged in the Donetsk region in December, causing major power outages in the region – while it was ongoing energy workers have restored electricity to more than 360,000 families.
