DTEK Donetsk Grids managed to restore electricity to 25,000 families in 58 settlements over the course of a week

From June 19 to 25, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists, with the permission of the military, managed to repair a number of grids and equipment damage, thus restoring power to 25,000 families in 58 settlements, affected by shelling. Besides, over the weekend energy workers have restored electricity to more than 14,000 families in the Donetsk region, de-energized due to bad weather. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of a week, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 58 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for 25,081 families. 

The situation in the Donetsk region remains difficult. According to the head of the region Pavlo Kyrylenko, shelling of the Donetsk region continues. In particular, Druzhkivka alone was hit by missiles 4 times over the course of the day. Vuhledar was shelled 19 times. 

116 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

Bad weather also added some work for the energy workers: over the weekend, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have restored electricity to more than 14,000 families, affected by power outages caused by heavy rain. The crews have been working all night long and continue to process requests. 

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 488 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines once it becomes possible.
