DTEK Donetsk Grids restored electricity to more than 15,000 families, de-energized due to bad weather

Bad weather raged in the Donetsk region yesterday. Heavy rain and hurricane wind caused a lot of damage (swept off roofs, fallen trees and damaged equipment). Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to more than 15,000 families, de-energized due to weather conditions. Emergency and repair crews continue to eliminate consequences of the hurricane in 12 settlements of the region and put maximum effort to restore electricity to every home as soon as possible.

Yesterday, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews restored power to 15,300 families, de-energized due to adverse weather conditions.

Energy workers worked at night as well and they continue restoring the grids. Pokrovsk district suffered from bad weather the most.

Fallen trees and constant shelling of the region add complications to their work.

Let us remind that energy workers continue restoration of the region’s energy infrastructure that is being constantly damaged due to hostilities.

do not stay near power lines during strong wind;  
do not approach broken wire closer than 8-12 meters and never touch it;
