DTEK Donetsk Grids was able to restore electricity to almost 2,000 families, affected by shelling, and more than 17,000 families, de-energized due to bad weather

On June 26 and 27, despite bad weather, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to restore electricity to 8 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring electricity to almost 2,000 families. Additionally, energy workers continued to restore power to settlements, de-energized due to bad weather: over the course of the day electricity has been restored to homes of more than 17,000 families in 43 settlements. Energy workers make every effort to restore power supply once it becomes possible and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of two days, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 8 settlements, thus restoring access to power supply for 1,965 families. 

Fighting is ongoing in the Donetsk region. Shelling continues. In particular, yesterday Kramatorsk was hit by a missile strike, which, according to initial reports, took 8 lives. 

116 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

Besides, energy workers continued to repair damage, caused by bad weather: yesterday, power has been restored to more than 17,000 families in 43 settlements, de-energized due to windstorm and heavy rain. The crews have been working all night long and continue to process requests.
