DTEK Donetsk Grids prepared Mariupol power infrastructure for the low temperatures season and increased demand for electricity. The company's specialists carried out repairs and maintenance of electrical facilities, cleared more than 4.5 km of routes under power lines from vegetation. These measures will reduce the number of failures and ensure the stability of electricity supply to customers in the autumn and winter season.

“DTEK strives to become the benchmark for customer focus. We have repaired over 25 km of overhead and cable lines. We prepared 75 transformer substations and distribution points for winter. We also removed the vegetation under the overhead lines, which will help to avoid blackouts and accidents in bad weather. Thanks to these works, we plan to go through the cold season as usual and ensure comfort in our customers’ homes,” says Oleksii Degtyarev, General Director for DTEK Donetsk Grids.

The company started the preparations for the new heating season in the spring. The energy workers have completed a significant amount of work at the city power facilities. Thus, we have repaired 22 km of overhead and more than 3.5 km of cable lines, 17 substations of 35-110 kV in the Central, Levoberezhny, Kalmiussky and Primorsky districts. We replaced 6 transformer substations with new complete transformer substations. We reconstructed two air lines in the Central Region with a total length of 2.1 km. Such measures make it possible to provide customers with a stable power supply during the cold season.

In turn, the company notes that in addition to the equipment of distribution networks (transformer substations and distribution stations, cable, and overhead lines), which are serviced by DTEK Donetsk Grids, there are also in-house networks. Owners of detached houses should deal with them and prepare them for peak power consumption. If you live in a high-rise apartment building, management companies, housing services, condominiums, and other service organizations are responsible for them. The reliability of power supply depends on their technical condition.

Also, in the autumn and winter period, the energy company advises the residents of Mariupol to be more rational about energy consumption and not to exceed the contractual capacity specified in the distribution agreement. Should they neglect this, there could be emergency situations, and not only in your apartment, but also in the entire building and the whole neighborhood. If it is needed to increase the contractual capacity, please contact DTEK Donetsk Grids.
