DTEK Donetsk Grids continues to bring back light: power has been restored to almost 2,000 families over the course of a day
Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 8 settlements, thus restoring service to 1,706 families in Pokrovsk district of the Donetsk region.
For instance, power has been restored to 1,600 families in Marinka community. Restoration activities were also performed in Avdiivka community. It took less than 24 hours to restore electricity in both communities, which are located near the buffer zone and are being shelled frequently.
Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. Artillery shelling, missile strikes and air assaults continue to destroy the region, including its energy infrastructure. The most difficult directions are Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Toretsk, Marinka and Lyman.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, situation at the Bakhmut direction remains extremely difficult.
82 settlements of the region remain without electricity. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
