DTEK Donetsk grids returned electricity to 147 residents of the front-line Shumy village
The repair teams of DTEK Donetsk grids began restoring the power supply to the village immediately after the coordination with the JCCC (Joint Centre for Control and Coordination on Ceasefire Issues). The team of the Bakhmut power grid region replaced the transformer substation, 100 meters of wire, and eight insulators damaged during the shelling. Now 147 Shumy residents have a stable electricity supply,’ said Oleksii Dehtiariov, General Director of DTEK Donetsk grids. ‘Electricity is a vital service, especially for the residents of front-line settlements. We are doing our best to ensure that all our customers have light.’
Since the beginning of the year, the specialists of DTEK Donetsk grids have restored the operation of two high-voltage lines, 13 medium-low voltage lines, 112 transformer substations, and returned light to the residents of 39 settlements. Some of them — Luhanske, Zhovanka, and Pisky — were de-energized 3 or 4 times during this period. In total, since the beginning of military activities in Donbas, DTEK Donetsk grids have restored power supply at substations and power lines more than 16 thousand times.
