DTEK Donetsk Grids returned light to 150 residents of the front-line town of Luhanskoye
The line was de-energized due to bad weather on September 30. Since the town is located in the "gray" zone, additional coordination with the JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Issues) was required for restoration.
“As soon as all the necessary approvals were received, repair teams of DTEK Donetsk Grids began restoration of power supply in the de-energized part of the town. Our specialists eliminated line breaks, replaced damaged insulators, and restored the operation of three transformer substations,” says Oleksii Dehtiarov, DTEK Donetsk Grids General Director. – “We understand how important power supply is for residents of frontline settlements. We do our best to ensure that all our clients have light."
DTEK Donetsk Grids serve the interests of Ukraine, share the values of society and understand that the availability of permanent and uninterrupted power supply is a key to safety and comfort of the region's residents.
It should be recalled that the power supply of the Luganskoye town residents is constantly at risk since it is located near the demarcation line. The town was de-energized again and again caused by shelling, like other settlements in the "gray" zone.
Since the beginning of the year, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have restored the operation of 2 high-voltage lines, 12 medium-low voltage lines, and 112 transformer substations damaged as a result of shelling. This made it possible to restore power supply to residents of 37 frontline settlements. Due to the warfare, they are constantly at risk of emergency outages and the risk of losing power.
