DTEK Donetsk Grids restored service to residents of Krasnohorivka that was left without electricity due to hostilities
DTEK Donetsk Grids serves the interests of Ukraine, shares the values of the society, and recognizes that permanent and uninterrupted power supply is crucial for comfort of people in the region. Company’s workers managed to restore power to the 110 kV line and restore service to residents of Krasnohorivka, as well as to restore normal power supply to the local hospital.
“Performance of restoration activities in front-line settlements within the grey zone requires additional coordination with the JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination on Ceasefire Issues) and involvement of representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the OSCE. The mechanism for performing repairs near the buffer zone is regulated by the relevant Procedure set in force by the Combined Forces Commander’s decree, – said Oleksii Degtyarev, General Director for DTEK Donetsk Grids. – As soon as we get required permissions, we immediately commence activities to restore power. Since February 18, we have restored power to residents of 8 settlements. We had to restore power to some of them twice.”
Company’s workers will commence activities to restore power to Taramchuk, Nevelske, Ozarianivka, Druzhba, Novoselivka-2, Bakhmutka, Pisky, Zhovanka, Pobeda, Novohnativka, Starohnativka, Memryk, Kalynovo, Staromarivka, Hranitne, Novohryhorivka, Troitske, Novoselivka, Verkhnotoretske, Novoluhanske and Myronivskyi immediately upon obtaining required permissions.
As previously reported, on February 18 Company’s workers managed to promptly connect an overhead line and 22 transformer substations, thus restoring service to residents of Stepne, Solodke and Slavne in the course of few hours. Additionally, energy workers restored normal operation of 110 kV substation that supplies power to Krasnohorivka.
On February 19, Company’s workers restored power to Vasylivka and Orlivske. On February 20, they restored operation of the overhead line in Novoluhanske. This line supplies power to heat distribution networks and waste treatment facilities.
It is worth reminding that in the course of 2021, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored operation of 3 high-voltage lines, 9 lines of medium-low voltage and 99 transformer substations, damaged because of shelling, and restored service to 2,185 households of the front-line zone.
In total, since the beginning of military actions in this area, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored the power supply at substations and power lines over 16,000 times.
