DTEK Donetsk Grids returned power to the front-line village named Novoselovka-2 that lost power after hostilities
The 10 kV line was damaged on 11 September. Since it is in the gray zone, it was required to get additional coordination with the JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination on Ceasefire Issues) and involve representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the OSCE to do the restoration work.
“As soon as the company received all the needed approvals, our energy workers immediately started to restore power supply. We have replaced more than 500 meters of wire cut and broken by splinters in three spans of the 10 kV line, 12 insulators, and restored the operation of 4 transformer substations. We returned electricity to 154 households in the Novoselovka-2 village,” says Oleksii Degtyarev, General Director of DTEK Donetsk Grids.
