DTEK Donetsk Grids restored service to the front-line village of Vodiane
The power supply to Vodiane was lost in early October when a squall wind broke the wires of the Kalinovka - Lebedinske line. Since this happened in the gray zone, it was required to get additional coordination with the JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination on Ceasefire Issues) and involve representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the OSCE to do the restoration work.
“As soon as the company received all the necessary approvals, our specialists immediately started to restore the power supply. We have eliminated wire breaks in two spans of the 10 kV overhead line. Now all the residents of Vodiane have a reliable power supply,” says Oleksii Degtiarev, DTEK Donetsk Grids Director General. “Also, our specialists have replaced the power transformer in the transformer substation, which is in the front-line village of Travneve, Bakhmut district. This has improved the power supply for 68 households”.
DTEK Donetsk Grids serves the Ukraine’s interests, shares the values of the community, and understands that permanent and uninterrupted power supply is crucial for the residents in the region.
Let us recall that in October DTEK Donetsk Grids returned electricity to Luhanske and Taramchuk front-line villages, and in August to 17 front-line villages in Pokrovsky and Volnovakhsky districts that lost power after army actions. In July, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored the operation of the 6 kV line and returned electricity to 68 households in the front-line villages of Travneve and Gladosovo. In June, the company restored the operation of the 10 kV line and to 37 households in the front-line village of Opytnoye.
