DTEK Donetsk Grids restored service to the front-line village of Nevelske, that lost power supply after hostilities
The 6 kV line and two 0.4 kV lines were damaged on November 14. Since they are in the gray zone, there was a need to get additional coordination with the JCCC (Joint Center for Control and Coordination on Ceasefire Issues) and involve representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the OSCE to restore them.
“As soon as the company received all the required approvals, our specialists immediately started to restore the power supply. We have replaced more than 700 meters of wire cut by splinters, more than 20 insulators, restored the operation of 2 transformer substations. By doing this we could return the electricity to 57 households in the village. This is the second time we needed to restore the power supply to Nevelske this year because of hostilities,” says Oleksii Degtyarev, General Director for DTEK Donetsk Grids.
DTEK Donetsk Grids serves the Ukraine’s interests, shares the values of the community, and recognizes that permanent and uninterrupted power supply is crucial for people in the region.
Let us recall that DTEK Donetsk Grids restored the service to the front-line villages of Luganske and Taramchuk, and the village of Vodyane in October, the company returned the power supply to the front-line village of Novoselovka-2 in September.
In total, in 2021, DTEK Donetsk Grids restored the operation of three 35-110 kV lines, eight 6-10 kV lines, 97 transformer substations, de-energized because of shelling, returned service to more than 2,100 people living in 16 front-line settlements.
