DTEK Donetsk Grids has restored power to more than 6,000 families in 5 settlements, affected by shelling
On December 21, despite shelling, missile strikes and air assaults, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to conduct repairs for residents of 5 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 6,291 families.
Fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. According to the Ministry of Defense, yesterday enemy attacks have been repelled near 12 settlements of the Donetsk region.
101 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 302 days in a row and repair equipment and lines immediately, once it becomes possible.
Due to a difficult situation in the energy system, emergency power cutoffs are ongoing in the Donetsk region in accordance with the NPC Ukrenergo order. This is a necessary step to stabilize the energy system and prevent new outages. The schedules of stabilization shutdowns are no longer valid. We also urge all customers to consume electricity reasonably – switch on energy-consuming devices in turn and minimize electricity consumption from 06.00 to 11.00 in the morning and from 17.00 to 23.00 in the evening. We ask business customers to limit usage of exterior lighting of facades of offices, restaurants, malls.
