Dominykas Tuckus, Asset Management Director at DTEK Grids took part in the Summit panel discussing the key challenges and opportunities ahead of power grids that the green transition brings along. He also shared insights on the trends and role of DSOs in the energy transition during the Hub session.

“Supportive regulation, accessibility to the green transition financing instruments and adoption of digital technologies are crucial for the DSOs future development. This is very important for the whole European energy market including Ukraine. National regulators should support DSOs in their efforts to develop the grids as they will be key enablers in the long road of energy transition” – mentioned Dominykas Tuckus during his speech. Other speakers of the panel were: Viviana Vitto, Head of Market Strategy and Regulatory Analysis, Global Infrastructure and Networks at Enel; Christian Buchel, Chairman of E.DSO;  Catherine Leboul-Proust, Chief Strategy Officer at Gaz réseau distribution France (GRDF); Nicolas Piau, Co-founder and Managing Partner at TiLT Capital Partners;  Philippe Vié, Group Vice-President, Energy and Utilities at Capgemini; Pier Lorenzo Dell'Orco, Chief Executive Officer at Italgas Reti; Luciano Martini, Director, RSE & Director Green Powered Future Mission, Mission Innovation at RSE.

Serhii Tankevych, Head of New Technologies at DTEK Grids took part in the Hub session about monitoring and optimisation of the networks, talking about the new digital solution ACDC (Automatic Center of Deviation Control). “In addition to pilot innovative projects, we are also involved in developing our own innovative solutions. For example, the tool for managing voltage quality, that allows us to proactively respond to voltage deviation in the low voltage grids enabling the company to manage assets more efficiently and increase customer satisfaction. It helps us not only to identify power quality issues but also to choose the correct and effective solutions to eliminate them” – said Serhii Tankevych.
