This inclusive football group for children is in Brovary based on the Shakhtar football school. Children aged 7 to 12 attend football classes for free. DTEK and the Shakhtar Social charity fund provided young athletes with everything they need to train. A qualified coaching staff, who underwent special training considering the principles of inclusion, works with children. There are 26 children in the section. For the last training session in 2021, the children were visited by Andriy Vorobei, FC Shakhtar footballer, Inna Khmyzova, Head of the Shakhtar Social Fund and Vitaly Shaida, Head of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

“We visited children from the inclusive group named ‘Come on, Let’s play!’ on the eve of New Year's holidays. This section has recently opened in Brovary. We brought gifts and congratulated them on the upcoming holidays. It was nice to see the joy in their eyes. We, adults, make children believe in miracles. And with the help of projects such as ‘Come on, Let’s play!’, we also give them faith in their own strengths. The opening of such sports grounds is of great benefit. Playing football helps not only to attract children to sports, but they also contribute to the socialization of children with disabilities. I believe in our project and each of its participants. May the project continue to develop in the new year, and the dreams of these kids come true,” said Vitaliy Shaida, Head of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.

‘Come on, Let’s play!’ is a unique project. It was started as a local initiative in 2018. Today, almost 6,000 children who train at 73 football grounds from 42 settlements have already taken part in it.

“We would like to see that projects such as 'Come on, Let’s play!' last as long as possible, because the most important thing we do here is we conduct regular trainings for children. It is important for us that children train, come to us as often as possible, develop the habit of going in for sports. Such classes are not only about sports, but also about teamwork, communication and friendship,” said Inna Khmyzova, Head of the Shakhtar Social Foundation.

The project is supported by the businesses that are part of DTEK. DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids, which is part of the DTEK Grids operating holding, helps to extend the project ‘Come on, Let’s play!’ in the Kyiv region.
