DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids resumes registration of electrical meters readings in customer homes

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids continues to register meters readings and returns to the work format that was applied before the beginning of hostilities. Readings will be again registered both on the switchboards in common areas and in the residents’ houses and apartments. Reference data will help ensure correct billing of customers for consumed electricity. The company asks not to interfere with the work of company’s employees and to provide them with access to the meters.

The war in Ukraine forced many residents of the region to flee their homes and sometimes they are unable to submit actual meter readings. In such cases, the company conducts estimation of average readings according to monthly consumption, which is not always correct. That is why DTEK specialists resumed registering reference readings from customers, whose meters are installed in apartments and at the territory of private houses, thus allowing verification of accurate functioning of the meters and compare readings for correct actual energy consumption billing.

“Since April, registering of reference readings has been carried out only on switchboards, located between floors at the stairways and on transmission line poles in the private sector, without entering customers’ apartments and houses. We are now normalizing work format that we had before the beginning of hostilities,” informed the company.

The company asks customers not to interfere with the work of company’s employees and to provide them with access to the meters.

How do I know that this is an employee of the company?

  • DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists register meter reference readings only when they have employee pass, which is to be presented upon customer’s request;
  • Company’s employees are wearing overalls with DTEK logo;
  • Specialists inspect the meter only; they do not offer any other services and do not take any payment for them;

DTEK specialists are working 24/7 to ensure reliable power supply of houses and enterprises. In case of shelling, workers are provided with everything needed to promptly restore power to settlements that suffered from hostilities.

Please use official information channels only and stay calm. Our specialists are ready to process your applications and answer all questions via remote service channels: company’s website, social networks, call center, Viber and Telegram chatbots, titled “DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids”.
