DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids received an aerial platform from USAID
Since the first days of war, Kyiv region was one of the first to be attacked by russian troops. Due to active hostilities and occupation of some communities, a large part of Distribution System Operator’s machinery has been destroyed. Thanks to the new 28-meter Iveco Eurocargo chassis-mounted aerial platform, energy workers will more promptly eliminate malfunctions in the operation of the grid, and the customers will receive services faster.
“DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids is grateful to USAID for the provided aid related to car fleet replenishment, which is especially important after the loss of some of machinery. The new aerial platform helps us more promptly react to requests of residents of the region and eliminate emergencies on the grid faster. For us, uninterrupted power supply is a foundation for normal life of Ukrainians,” — noted DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.
Let us remind that on May 18, 2022, DTEK energy workers have completed repairs of company’s equipment and restored electricity to residents, affected by hostilities and occupation of communities. In a record 45 days, DTEK specialists have restored electricity to 260,000 families in almost 600 settlements. They have restored almost 10,000 kilometers of lines, repaired and energized 71 high-voltage substations and almost 3,000 transformer substations. Since October 2023, DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids specialists have already eliminated over 30 emergencies caused by targeted missile attacks on power facilities.
