DTEK Grids DSOs has prepared the network infrastructure in the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Odesa regions and in the city of Kyiv for the autumn and winter season, which is the time of traditionally high demand for electricity. DSOs repaired and maintained electrical assets and cleared greenery around them. These measures will reduce the number of failures and ensure the stability of electricity supply to the company's customers in the autumn and winter season. DTEK Grids invested UAH 325 million in addition to the total costs of the network reconstruction program to complete this mission.

Distribution System Operators that are part of DTEK Grids Operating Holding - DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids, DTEK Odesa Grids, DTEK Donetsk Grids, DTEK Dnipro Grids, DTEK Kyiv Grids, have started their preparations for the autumn and winter season. The energy workers repaired or built almost 8,000 km of power lines, more than 4,000 transformer substations and distribution points, as well as cleared greenery around 8,000 km of overhead power lines.

"DTEK is a responsible, and reliable company. We devote great attention to strengthening our power network, especially before the onset of cold weather. The company is repairing lines and substations to go through the period of peak loads in the network in the fault-free mode and ensure that each home has lights on and comfort,” says Ivan Geliukh, CEO for DTEK Grids.

DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids and DTEK Odesa Grids repaired most of power lines - more than 3,000 km in each region. In total, these DSOs allocated UAH 36 and 143 million for the repair campaign, respectively. At the same time, DTEK Donetsk Grids repaired 700 transformer substations and distribution points. DTEK Dnipro Grids cleared green areas around 3,000 km of power lines. Thanks to this, falling trees and their branches will not damage wires and electrical equipment. This DSO spent more than UAH 100 million on the repair campaign. DTEK Kyiv Grids completed 3,800 repairs and replacements of cable transmission lines so that people in Kyiv would always have electricity, allocating a total of UAH 46 million for network repairs facing the cold autumn and winter weather.

At the same time, the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators recommend their customers to check their indoor networks and not to exceed the permitted capacity to avoid power outages in the cold season. You can find out whether the network of your home can withstand the load of electrical appliances and heating systems on the DTEK Grids DSOs websites using the power capacity calculator.
