DTEK Grids prepares for cold weather: 325 million worth repairs completed in addition to the reconstructions
Distribution System Operators that are part of DTEK Grids Operating Holding - DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids, DTEK Odesa Grids, DTEK Donetsk Grids, DTEK Dnipro Grids, DTEK Kyiv Grids, have started their preparations for the autumn and winter season. The energy workers repaired or built almost 8,000 km of power lines, more than 4,000 transformer substations and distribution points, as well as cleared greenery around 8,000 km of overhead power lines.

The company is repairing lines and substations to go through the period of peak loads in the network in the fault-free mode and ensure that each home has lights on and comfort,” says Ivan Geliukh, CEO for DTEK Grids.
DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids and DTEK Odesa Grids repaired most of power lines - more than 3,000 km in each region. In total, these DSOs allocated UAH 36 and 143 million for the repair campaign, respectively. At the same time, DTEK Donetsk Grids repaired 700 transformer substations and distribution points. DTEK Dnipro Grids cleared green areas around 3,000 km of power lines. Thanks to this, falling trees and their branches will not damage wires and electrical equipment. This DSO spent more than UAH 100 million on the repair campaign. DTEK Kyiv Grids completed 3,800 repairs and replacements of cable transmission lines so that people in Kyiv would always have electricity, allocating a total of UAH 46 million for network repairs facing the cold autumn and winter weather.
