DTEK Grids held a large training of the energy workers’ crews in the Dnipropetrovsk region before the AWP
Energy workers of the Distribution System Operators are constantly improving and developing working skills that help work and provide power supply to the residents of towns and villages in the conditions of hostilities. Before the autumn-winter season, specialists have conducted a large-scale training that involved teams of specialists from Kyiv, Kyiv region, Odesa region and Dnipropetrovsk region. It was held at the special training ground Mezhyrich in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Each of the four teams passed six responsible stages. All of them are as close to real daily actions of energy workers as possible. In particular, the crews trained to correctly equip the crews with protective equipment, appliances, tools, fire extinguishing means, check condition of vehicles. They honed the skills of connecting the drop wire from the overhead line without de-energization of customers, – as per the technique that guarantees uninterrupted power supply of residents during performance of scheduled or emergency repairs. They have practiced relocation of 0.4 kV wires from one pole to another using aerial work platform; replacement of 10 and 0.4 kV fuses at the transformer substation, etc. Besides, they trained in freeing the “injured” from electrocution on the 10 kV overhead line, providing pre-medical assistance with removing the injured from the pole. Such skills are vital in conditions of war and constant risk that energy workers face in their work.
The most skilled in training was a crew of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids. The second place - DTEK Dnipro Grids. The third and fourth places went to DTEK Kyiv Grids and DTEK Odesa Grids.
The obtained knowledge and skills make work of specialists even more efficient and safe.
