DTEK upgrades power grid infrastructure in Irpin District
Since the beginning of 2020, Kyivoblenergo has already reconstructed the 110/10 kV Irpin substation, overhauled 49.5 km of 10–0.4 kV overhead lines, and cleared 50.1 km of the route from tree branches that could cause emergency outages. Power engineers have repaired 41 transformer substations in the settlements of Irpin, Hostomel, Vorzel, Bucha, Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, Myrotske, Kotsiubynske, Khmilna, and Horenka. All these measures are aimed at improving the power supply of Irpin District and must provide every uninterrupted power supply to each customer’s home.

In the year since Kyivoblenergo became part of the DTEK energy holding, we have managed to halve the time for liquidating accidents in Irpin District from 6 to 3 hours. We continue to work 24/7 to ensure our customers always have light. This year, we are investing more than UAH 11 million in the modernization of the power grid infrastructure,’ said Vitalii Shaida, Chairman of Kyivoblenergo.
By the end of the year, the company plans to upgrade another 35.9 km of 10–0.4 kV overhead lines, clear 41.2 km of the route, and overhaul 27 10/4 kV transformer substations. Another 10.33 km of overhead lines will be reconstructed in Irpin District unit with the installation of unloading transformer substations in 14 settlements of the district: 6 in Irpin, 2 in Bucha, 5 in Vorzel, and 1 in Horenka village.
