DTEK Odesa Grids takes care of the power supply quality in the Tatarbunar District
The Tatarbunar District is a vacation spot in Odesa Region, which is stretched for 50 km along the Black sea. More than one third of all sea beaches, three resorts, such as Raseyka, Lebedevka and Katranka, and more than a hundred recreational centers are there. Besides tourism, this area is famous for its curative mud and hydrogen sulfide mineral springs. There are reserves of building stone (limestone) and construction sand in the region. Tens of thousands of tourists visit this area every year. To ensure a comfortable stay for the guests of the region and a stable electricity supply to local residents, DTEK Odesa Grids is renewing its energy infrastructure.
“Reliable power supply is our primary concern. In 2020, we have been investing UAH 5.8 million as part of investment and repair programs to upgrade networks and equipment in the Tatarbunar District. We work to provide light and comfort in our customers' homes,” says Oleksander Fomenko, DTEK Odessa Power Grids CEO.
According to the head of the company, since the beginning of 2020, power engineers have installed an unloading electrical substation in the village of Delzhiler, two substations each in the villages of Belolesye, Bashtanovka, Primorskoye, and four in Tatarbunary. In addition, the power engineers replaced the transformers with higher power from 160 kVA to 250 kVA to meet the electricity needs of the Raseyka resort, and from 250 kVA to 400 kVA in the city of Tatarbunary. 230 meters of 10 kV overhead line were built in the village of Delzhiler, and 362 meters of 10 kV overhead lines, the transformer substation was updated and 25 wooden poles were replaced with reinforced concrete ones in the village of Vishnevoe. These measures will ensure a reliable and uninterrupted electricity supply to resort infrastructure and customers’ homes.
The power engineers replaced 16.8 km of wires with self-supporting insulated wires across the district. Such advance wires are fireproof, safe, and require less maintenance. During strong winds, they do not cause short circuits and, as a result, power outages.
DTEK Odesa Grids replaced 304 poles for 0.4 kV overhead lines, built 3.8 km of 10 kV overhead lines having 134 poles installed in the Tatarbunarsky District. The power engineers also cleared almost 48 km of lines from tree branches. These measures will improve the quality and reliability of the electricity supply for our customers.
