DTEK Odesa Grids completed preparation for the 2024-2025 AWP
DTEK Odesa Grids CEO Dmytro Hryhoriev informed about it during a press-briefing. He noted that despite difficult conditions, the company implemented all required measures to improve reliability of power supply in the region. Together with regional authorities, the responsible services prepared the infrastructure for possible challenges in order to provide residents with electricity and heating.
“Despite all difficulties, we have prepared the grids in the Odesa region for winter. We upgraded 890 power facilities – high-voltage substations and transformer points, repaired 1,242 kilometers of power lines and cleared 1,829 kilometers of the overhead line routes from branches, shrubs and deadwood. DTEK was a reliable support of Ukrainians during the last autumn-winter period and is now doing everything possible to go through this winter, too,” – underscored Dmytro Hryhoriev, CEO at DTEK Odesa Grids.
As noted by the head of the company, there is no shortage of electricity in the Odesa region. However, the vulnerability of the energy system is extremely high due to constant enemy attacks.
In case of changes and worsening of the situation in the energy industry, the company developed schedules of stabilization shutdowns. They are not new; they have been in force since 2023. DTEK Odesa Grids renewed the notification system for the customers to be able to better plan their day. It can be used by the residents of the region to check their schedules for the next day the night before. Just like before, the schedule is applied based on Ukrenergo commands related to limitation of power supply by lines during the day. The daily schedule will be available when NPC Ukrenergo will give a command to apply the schedules.
In case of application of limitations, the daily schedule will be available in our Viber and Telegram chatbot, and on the website. The weekly schedule will be constantly available in the section “No electricity” on the DTEK Odesa Grids website.
In addition, DTEK Odesa Grids reminds its customers that in order to obtain reliable information about condition of the region’s grids, emergency power outages and time required for electricity restoration one should use official company’s channels only: website, Facebook page, call center.
