Under conditions of war, railway is a key transport connection and is of strategic importance. It is the only way for civilians and volunteers to evacuate and travel around the country. Nevertheless, the enemy does not stop and continues destroying infrastructure facilities.

Last week, hostile shelling caused damage to several energy facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia throughout the country, thus leaving residents of nearby settlements without electricity and suspending railway traffic.

DTEK understands importance of railway facilities restoration for the entire country. For this reason, 4 crews and 5 pieces of machinery of DTEK Odessa Grids went to help their colleagues from Ukrzaliznytsia restore grids in the Lviv region. Their counterparts from DTEK Dnipro Grids are doing the same in the Kyiv region.

21 DTEK Odessa Grids specialists will be working to promptly resume operation of electrical equipment and restore normal functioning of railways in the Lviv region.

Emergency crews of DTEK energy workers are working non-stop to promptly restore power to settlements, affected by hostilities.

Energy workers, specialists of Ukrzaliznytsia jointly with doctors, volunteers and suppliers of the essential food and medications do everything in their power to support Ukraine and Ukrainians in these difficult circumstances.
