DTEK Odesa Grids connected 256 prosumers to the networks in H1 2021
“DTEK shares the European values of doing business, invests in clean energy, digital transformation, new technologies and innovations. We are promoting the connection of green generation facilities by developing the region's energy infrastructure and providing free access to it. The demand for connecting home solar power plants is growing every year. For six months of 2021, we have already connected 256 prosumers in the Odesa region, by the end of the year we plan to connect another 235 home solar PV systems,” says Oleksandr Fomenko, General Director of DTEK Odesa Grids.
There are 1,505 prosumers* connected in the Odesa region between 2014 and 2021. Odesa and the Odesa area have most of the producers of clean energy - 723 prosumers. The city of Izmail and Izmail district (320), Podolsk district (124), and Belgorod-Dnistrovsky district (318) are among the leaders.
To connect a home power plant to DTEK Odesa Grids, you should contact the customer service center with a package of required documents, fill out an application form, go through the installation check, install a meter of the appropriate type, and receive annexes to the electricity distribution agreement. *Prosumers are households that produce electricity for their own needs, and sell the excess to the grids. The term is a portmanteau of the words producer and consumer.
