DTEK Odesa Grids helps restore electricity after shelling on August 17
In the night of August 17, the enemy has shelled Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district. DTEK Odesa Grids energy workers promptly went to the scene of the incident. In order to ensure safety of SES units during extinguishing of fire, specialists have temporarily de-energized customers’ homes and restored electricity on the survived grids immediately after completion of fire extinguishing.
Damage was done to the grids, belonging to a private subscriber. As soon as the owner of the grids restores operation of his equipment, electricity will be restored to all residents of the affected district.
Emergency and restoration crews continue to work 24/7 in order to promptly restore electricity to the homes of customers after emergencies, including due to shelling. The company cooperates with the Territorial Defense Forces and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to access the sites of damage. Additionally, employees have specific guidelines related to working in emergencies and are provided with everything needed to restore operation of equipment in case of hostilities upon obtaining permits from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
