DTEK Odesa Grids restores service to 96 settlements in the Razdelnyansky and Odesa Districts

As of 10:23PM on Monday, July 5, DTEK Odesa Grids fully restored power supply to customers who were left without electricity after an accident on the interstate high-voltage power lines owned by NEC Ukrenergo.

Let us recall that on July 5, 2021 at 1:38PM there was an emergency shutdown of the interstate high-voltage transmission lines of 110 kV named MoldGRES - Razdelnaya and MoldGRES - Belyaevka, which power the 110/35/10 Razdelnaya and 110/35/10 Kuchurgan substations in Odesa Region. The outage was caused by the high-voltage lines poles, which were toppled because of abnormal weather conditions and which belong to NEC Ukrenergo.

Because of the accident, 96 settlements were left without electricity completely, and another 47 partially in the Razdelnyansky and partially in Odesa Districts.

As of 4:37PM, most of the customers who had no power were connected to backup power through the 35 kV and 10 kV networks of DTEK Odesa Grids, powered by the Razdelnaya and the Kuchurgany substations. And at 10:23PM, after the NEC Ukrenergo specialists located the trouble spot, all customers of DTEK Odesa Grids had their power back.

The backup power supply scheme for 110/35/10 Razdelnaya and 110/35/10 Kuchurgany substations will be kept for a week until NEC Ukrenergo completes the restoration on damaged 110 kW MoldGRES - Razdelnaya and MoldGRES - Belyaevka overhead lines.

DTEK is a conscious company. We work 24/7 to ensure that all our customers have lights on.
