Over the past week, August 21 through 27, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 69,000 families in 60 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions that were left without power supply due to the enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Dnipropetrovsk region suffered significant damage last week. Numerous enemy attacks left tenths of thousands of people without electricity. Over the course of the week, DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers have restored electricity to 53,000 families despite regular shelling.

Donetsk region remains the most active area of hostilities in Ukraine. Every day, shelling damages grids and substations that provide electricity to those who stay in the region. Our specialists restore electricity supply once it becomes possible. Over the past week, they have restored operation of the grids for almost 16,000 families.

“Our specialists’ primary task is to provide Ukrainians with electricity as much as it is possible in conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 8.6 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
