DTEK brings back light: energy workers restored electricity supply to 60,000 families in Kyiv, Odesa, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv
Missile attacks on September 21 de-energized a number of power facilities in Kyiv and Kyiv region. Specialists of DTEK Kyiv Grids promptly restored electricity to 3,000 families of Kyivans. Another 1,000 families of residents of the Kyiv region had electricity promptly restored to them by energy workers of DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids.
The grids in the Odesa region are being damaged by shelling more and more often. In particular, an enemy attack last night left more than 1,000 families without electricity. Energy workers promptly repaired damages and restored power to homes of residents of the Odesa region, affected by shelling.
At the same time, Donetsk region remains the most active area of hostilities in Ukraine. Every day, constant shelling damages grids and substations that provide electricity to those who stay in the region. Our specialists restore electricity supply once it becomes possible. Over the past week, they have restored operation of the grids for almost 38,000 families.
Dnipropetrovsk region also suffers from regular shelling. DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers restored electricity to almost 17,000 families over the course of the week.
“For 580 days, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 8.8 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
