Over the past week, September 4 through 10, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 27,000 families in 59 settlements of Odesa, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions that were left without power supply due to enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Last week, Odesa region was again repeatedly targeted by enemy attacks. An enemy attack on September 6 has damaged power lines. Our energy workers promptly repaired damaged facilities and restored electricity to 142 customers.

Donetsk region remains the most active area of hostilities in Ukraine. Every day, shelling damages grids and substations that provide electricity to those who stay in the region. Our specialists restore electricity supply once it becomes possible. Over the past week, they have restored operation of the grids for 25,000 families.

Dnipropetrovsk region regularly suffers enemy attacks as well. Over the course of the week, DTEK Dnipro Grids energy workers have restored electricity to almost 2,000 families despite regular shelling.

“Our specialists’ primary task is to provide Ukrainians with electricity as much as it is possible in conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 8.7 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
