DTEK brings back light: power supply has been restored to 28,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region in December

Over the past month, DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency and restoration crews have restored power to 28,000 homes that were without electricity due to the damage of lines and power facilities by shelling. Specialists commence work immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents. In 2023, energy workers have restored power to more than 419,000* families in the region.

Dnipropetrovsk region continues to suffer from enemy shelling that frequently affects the grids and leaves residents without electricity. 

In December, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored power to 28,000 families in the region that were left without electricity due to hostilities. In 2023, energy workers restored power to a total of more than 419,000 families in the region. They had to restore electricity to some homes on dozens of occasions due to regular enemy attacks. 

On January 3, specialists of the company restored electricity to almost 2,000 families in the south of the region that the invaders continue to terrorize. Nearly 1,500 homes remain without electricity. 

DTEK Dnipro Grids emergency crews repair lines, damaged by the enemy, and are doing everything possible to restore power supply as soon as possible. The works are conducted immediately after obtaining permission from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, energy workers have restored electricity to a total of more than 1.2 mln* households in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
