DTEK brings back light: power supply restored to more than 175,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region in December
The enemy continues to carry out systematic attacks on civil and power facilities of the Dnipropetrovsk region, launching missiles and drones, firing artillery from the occupied territories. Shelling regularly affects lines and energy equipment, leaving residents without electricity.
During the last month of the past year, DTEK Dnipro Grids specialists restored power to 175,783 families in the region, whose homes were de-energized due to enemy attacks. Last week alone, electricity has been restored to more than 29,000 homes in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Emergency crews commence repairs of the grid after obtaining permission from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. However, the work of energy workers in the frontline zone is always risky. Last week, russians attacked power facilities in the south of the region several times, targeting them with drones carrying explosives. Personnel was not harmed.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, energy workers have restored electricity to a total of more than 3.1 mln households in the Dnipropetrovsk region*.
