In July, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 298,000 families*, left without power supply due to shelling in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Odesa regions. After each air or artillery attack, specialists of the Distribution System Operators promptly repair the grids once they obtain permission from the AFU and SES.

In July, the enemy did not stop his attacks on the civil infrastructure facilities. These attacks regularly damage the country’s grids and leave thousands of Ukrainians without electricity. Over the course of July, energy workers of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have restored electricity to 275,000 families in the Donetsk region and 17,000 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region that are close to the areas of active hostilities and temporarily occupied territories.

Grids in the Odesa region suffered due to shelling, as well. Our specialists have restored its operation for almost 5,000 families in the Odesa region. Besides, electricity supply had to be restored to 102,000 families in the Kyiv region due to a drone attack.

“Our task is to provide residents and critical infrastructure with electricity as much as it is possible in the conditions of regular shelling. Over the course of more than a year of a full-scale war, we have already restored electricity to 8.4 million families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Donetsk regions, and in the capital. Most of them have been left without electricity due to enemy attacks on dozens of occasions,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

Company’s specialists continue to work together with AFU and SES in the regions of fiercest hostilities and restore operation of the grids immediately after obtaining permission from them.
