DTEK brings back light: in April, energy workers have restored electricity supply to 206,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions

In April, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 206,000 families in 239 settlements in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, left without power supply due to enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

In April, the most shelled grids were in the regions that are close to the combat zones – Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions. Over the course of a month, energy workers have restored operation of power equipment for 199,000 families in Donetsk and almost 7,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk regions.

“Specialists of the Distribution System Operators work in the high-risk areas every day in order to restore electricity to residents of the most difficult regions. Since the beginning of a full-scale war on February 24, 2022, energy workers have restored electricity to 7.4 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to repair damage as soon as possible and commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
