DTEK brings back light: energy workers have restored power to homes of 81,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions over the past week
Last week, the intensity of enemy shelling remained in the regions that are located close to the frontline, causing significant damage to the grids in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. DTEK Grids energy workers have restored electricity to 73,000 families in Donetsk and almost 1,500 families in Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Besides, a drone attack damaged the grids in the Odesa region last week. Energy workers had to restore operation of grids for 6,000 residents of the region.
“Our specialists’ primary task is to provide Ukrainians with electricity as much as it is possible in conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 7.8 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
