DTEK brings back light: power has been restored to 60,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of a week
Over the past week (November 21 through 27), specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have restored operation of grids, damaged due to hostilities, for 60,000 families in 56 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Most of these settlements frequently suffer from russia’s shelling, so energy workers have to frequently restore electricity to them.
Intensity of hostilities and shelling remains high in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Our specialists managed to restore electricity to 55,000 families in the Donetsk region and 4,500 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Additionally, on November 26 a teamwork that involved DTEK Grids energy workers made it possible to restore electricity to the liberated city of Kherson.
“Since the beginning of a full-scale war, DTEK energy workers have already restored electricity to 5.7 mln families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. Despite shelling and difficult situation with hostilities, specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators continue to repair grids upon permission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and SES. Our goal is to provide towns and villages with electricity, required for normal life of region’s residents,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
98 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists will definitely restore electricity to homes of all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
