From January 9 to 15, DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to 41,000 families, left without power due to shelling in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair company’s electrical equipment that was destroyed by the enemy once they obtain a permit from the AFU and SES.

From January 9 to 15, specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators have restored operation of grids, damaged due to enemy shelling, for 41,000 families in 92 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

For 11 months, energy workers have been working in high risk conditions in order to restore power supply after shelling. Since the beginning of a full-scale invasion they have already restored power to 6.7 mln customers. Some of these customers had power restored to them on dozens occasions due to regular enemy attacks. Energy workers make every effort to promptly restore electricity to all those affected once they obtain a permit for work performance from SES and AFU.

On January 14, rf has once again attacked the country’s energy system, damaging power generation facilities and, thus, increasing power shortage. Therefore, NPC Ukrenergo provided Distribution System Operators with lowered limits of energy consumption for the regions. DSO have to adhere to those limits in order to prevent worsening of the situation in the energy system.

As of January 16, emergency shutdowns take place in Kyiv, Odesa, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in the city of Kyiv. Energy workers ask to consume electricity moderately: use energy-consuming household appliances one by one, unplug appliances that are not being used.
