DTEK brings back light: energy workers have restored electricity supply to 36,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of a week

Over the past week (February 27 through March 5), DTEK energy workers have restored electricity to more than 36,000 families in 50 settlements, left without power supply due to shelling in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair company’s electrical equipment, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Regular enemy attacks continue in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions, causing damage to the grids and leaving residents without electricity. Over the course of a week (February 27 through March 5), specialists of the Distribution System Operators have restored operation of grids for almost 32,000 families in Donetsk and 4,000 families in Dnipropetrovsk regions.

“Energy workers continue to hold the energy front and restore electricity to the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where regular enemy attacks take place. Since the beginning of a full-scale invasion on February 24 last year, energy workers have already restored power to 7.1 mln* customers. Due to constant shelling, electricity had to be restored to some buildings on dozens of occasions over the course of a year,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

Energy workers are doing everything possible to repair damages as soon as possible and commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
