DTEK brings back light: electricity has been restored to homes of more than 54,000 families over the week

Over the course of a week (June 5 through 11), DTEK Grids energy workers have restored electricity to 54,000 families in 66 settlements of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv regions, and in the city of Kyiv that were left without power supply due to the enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Last week, rf’s shelling damaged the grids in all DTEK Grids DSO. In particular, after the June 6 night attack, energy workers have restored electricity to 100 homes of residents of the Kyiv region and 20 homes of Kyivans.

Besides, energy workers have restored power to 85 families in the Odesa region that were left without electricity due to the shelling on June 10.

The situation remains stably difficult in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where power lines suffer damage due to enemy attacks on a daily basis and where our specialists restore operation of power equipment in the high-risk conditions. Over the week, DTEK Grids energy workers have restored electricity to almost 50,000 families in the Donetsk region and 4,300 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

“Our specialists’ primary task is to provide Ukrainians with electricity as much as it is possible in conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to 7.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They will restore electricity supply to all residents of the Donetsk region immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
