DTEK brings back light: energy workers restored power to homes of 80,000 families in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions last week
Last week, the enemy has concentrated its air attacks on the Odesa region. Over the course of a week, 4,700 families in Odesa region were left without electricity. A single enemy attack on the historical center of Odesa on July 22-23 left 1,000 customers without electricity. DTEK Odesa Grids energy workers have promptly restored electricity to all residents of the region immediately after obtaining permission from the SES and AFU.
Intensity of enemy shelling remains high in the regions close to the frontline. Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, in particular. Our specialists restored operation of grids, destroyed by attacks, for 69,000 families in the Donetsk region and 6,200 families in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
“For over 500 days, our energy workers have been restoring electricity in difficult and dangerous conditions on a daily basis, despite shelling. Since the beginning of a full-scale russian invasion, we have restored electricity supply to 8.3 mln families. To some of them – on dozens occasions due to regular shelling. Our primary task is to provide Ukrainians with electricity as much as it is possible in conditions of increased risks,” – noted DTEK Grids CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
