DTEK continues restoration activities in the Donetsk region: electricity was restored to more than 3,000 households
On August 9, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have completely or partially restored electricity to 7 settlements, thus restoring power to 3,357 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.
Yesterday, energy workers received a permit from the military to perform repairs and restored electricity to 1,300 families at the extremely difficult Bakhmut direction. Power was also restored to 1,200 families in Avdiivka community that also suffers from daily massive shelling. Energy workers also managed to perform a number of activities in Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Marinka and Sloviansk communities.
Daily shelling destroys grids and prevents timely repair. Therefore, we ask residents of the region to treat the situation with understanding.
The most difficult directions remain Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. 87 settlements of the Donetsk region, where energy workers are able to work, remain without electricity. Specialists of the energy company will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 168 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
