From January 8 to 14, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have restored electricity to 52,000 families, left without power supply due to enemy shelling. Last week, our specialists were repairing grids in 57 settlements of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and SES.

Donetsk region remains an arena of the most active fighting. Constant shelling damages grids and equipment every day here. Our specialists restore power supply once the military provide a permit for work performance. Despite all the shelling, they have restored operation of grids for 46,900 families last week.

Dnipropetrovsk region also suffers from constant shelling, south of the region in particular. Over the course of the week, energy workers were able to conduct repairs and restore electricity to homes of almost 6,000 families, whose homes were de-energized due to shelling.

“For 691 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have restored electricity to a total of 10.6 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
