DTEK continues restoration: electricity was restored to 5,200 families in the Donetsk region
Over the course of a day, energy company’s emergency and repair crews have repaired the grids in 9 settlements, thus restoring power to 5,270 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.
Once again, the majority of restorations were in Toretsk community. Energy workers have restored electricity to 3,700 homes of local residents. For the third day in a row DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are able to restore power to residents of the community in this difficult area.
Fighting continues in the Donetsk region. The situation is especially difficult in the north of the region. The grids, equipment and entire energy enterprises suffer more and more damage. Nevertheless, the energy company continues to perform its work, accompanied by the military, as soon as the shelling subsides.
341 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation remains in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform repairs.
