DTEK has already restored electricity to 2,340 homes in the Odessa region, left without electricity due to bad weather: elimination of consequences is ongoing
On May 13, night storm and 15-20 m/s squally wind gusts left 3,420 households in 16 settlements of the Odessa region without electricity. 12 overhead lines and 79 transformer substations were damaged. Bad weather caused most damage in Berezivka and Odessa districts.
As of 12:00 May 14, energy workers have already managed to repair 8 overhead lines, 42 transformer substations and restore service to 2,340 consumers in 9 settlements. 1,080 homes remain without electricity. Elimination of consequences is ongoing.
Energy workers put in their best efforts to restore electricity to customers’ homes. DTEK Odessa Grids has engaged 26 crews − 51 employee and 43 pieces of equipment to eliminate consequences of bad weather.
Distribution System Operator reminds the safety rules:
- avoid power transmission lines during strong wind;
- do not approach bare wire and broken lines and never touch them;
