DTEK managed to restore power to 32 settlements in the Donetsk region

On May 5, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews have restored electricity to residents of 32 settlements, de-energized due to shelling, thus restoring power to homes of more than 12,000 families in the Donetsk region. Specialists of the energy company commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit for work performance.

Over the course of the day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to completely or partially restore electricity to 32 settlements of the Donetsk region, thus restoring access to power supply for 12,654 families. 

Shelling of the Donetsk region continues. The situation remains very difficult there. According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy continues to concentrate main efforts on the offensive in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. The fiercest battles are over Bakhmut and Marinka. 

Due to constant damage of grids and equipment by shelling, 105 settlements remain without electricity, as specialists of the energy company do not have access to work there. Energy workers will definitely restore electricity to all residents of the region once they obtain a permit for work performance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
