DTEK has restored power supply for 82,000 families in Kyiv who were left without electricity due to hostilities

On March 26, at 9:00 a.m., as a result of hostilities, two high-voltage lines powering the residential areas of Bilychi, Borshchahivka, Vynohradar, and Vitriani Hory were damaged. DTEK Kyiv Grids used 7 emergency and recovery crews to quickly restore electricity to the residents of the capital. Within an hour, electricians powered all critical infrastructure in these areas from a backup source.

At 11:50 am, emergency crews managed to fully restore the electricity supply for the residential buildings in the Vynohradar and Vitriani Hory residential areas. As soon as the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued a permit for the safe conduct of further emergency recovery works, power engineers restored electricity for families living in the residential areas of Bilychi and Borshchahivka. All customers got the electricity back at 20:00.

In total, 82 000 families in Kyiv got the electricity back.

DTEK's power engineers, together with doctors, volunteers, suppliers of essential food and medicine, do everything in their power to support the country during this difficult time. 25 emergency crews have been working continuously for 32 days to repair the capital's networks and fulfill emergency requests from the customers.
