DTEK restored electricity to homes of 5,100 families in 14 settlements, left without electricity due to shelling

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists were able to completely or partially restore electricity to 14 towns and villages in the Donetsk region, thus restoring power to 5,139 households in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

In particular, more than half of restorations were in the Bakhmut community, which is being shelled constantly. Energy workers restored electricity to 2,700 families of this community, left without it yesterday and the day before. Besides, specialists of the energy company were restoring power supply in Sloviansk, Selydove, Marinka, Toretsk, Kostiantynivka and Avdiivka communities.

Active hostilities are underway in the Donetsk region. Continuous massive shelling from almost all types of weapons leads to more and more extensive destruction of the grids and shutdown of energy enterprises. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding. Energy workers commence repairs once the shelling subsides and the military provide a permit.

320 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the directions of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 148 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
