Last week, the enemy continued to attack Ukrainian power facilities. Nevertheless, energy workers are constantly working on repairs of grids and equipment, damaged by shelling. In particular, in the Donetsk region, which remains the region of the most active hostilities, energy workers managed to restore power to almost 71,000 homes of local residents over the course of the week, despite all security challenges.

In addition, from April 14 to 20 energy workers in the Dnipropetrovsk region managed to restore electricity to more than 34,000 families, whose homes were de-energized due to new enemy shelling. The enemy does not stop shelling the Dnipropetrovsk region, thus regularly damaging grids, especially in the south of the region.

Odesa region was also targeted by the enemy last week. There, energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO restored electricity to almost a thousand families after repairing the damaged grids.

“Our energy workers continue their fight for light for 1,153 days now. Despite all the dangers, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have restored electricity to almost 18.5 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some customers close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them by energy workers on dozens of occasions,” – noted Alina Bondarenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

Energy workers of DTEK Grids DSO are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
