DTEK restored electricity to 77,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions over the course of a week

From April 1 to 7, energy workers of the DTEK Grids DSO have restored power to 112 settlements, thus restoring electricity to homes of 77,000 families in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, de-energized due to constant enemy shelling. Specialists of the DTEK Grids Distribution System Operators repair the grids, destroyed by the enemy, immediately after obtaining permission from the AFU and the SES.

Donetsk region still remains an area of the most active hostilities and is exposed to constant shelling. Grids and substations are being damaged on a daily basis here. Our specialists restore electricity supply once the shelling subsides and the military provide permission for work performance. Last week, they managed to restore electricity to homes of 64,000 families in the frontline region.

Dnipropetrovsk region also suffers from regular shelling, especially its southern part, which is close to the area of hostilities. Here, our specialists also managed to repair a number of grids damages and restore electricity to 13,000 families over the course of a week.

“For 775 days now, energy workers have been holding the energy front and providing Ukrainians with electricity in the conditions of increased risks. Since the beginning of a full-scale war, we have already restored electricity to 11.9 mln* families in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa and Donetsk regions, and in the city of Kyiv. Some settlements close to the area of hostilities had electricity restored to them on dozens of occasions,” – noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO at DTEK Grids.

DTEK Grids energy workers are doing everything possible to eliminate damage as soon as possible. They commence work immediately after obtaining permission and access to the site of damage from the AFU and SES.
