DTEK restores power: electricity was restored to homes of 18,700 families in 19 settlements of the Donetsk region

On July 14, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists managed to restore electricity to homes of 18,797 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts of the Donetsk region. Despite constant shelling, specialists of the energy company were able to completely or partially restore power to 19 settlements.

The majority of restorations were in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk communities, which more and more often suffer from shelling and missile strikes. In less than 24 hours, electricity was restored to 8,600 and 6,900 families correspondingly. Additionally, energy workers managed to once again restore electricity to homes of 1,900 families in Bakhmut community, over the course of a day.

The situation in the Donetsk region remains extremely difficult. Constant hostilities repeatedly leave towns and villages of the region without electricity, destroy critical infrastructure. The volume of destructions is increasing. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding.

329 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut. Energy workers have to wait for the permit from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to commence repairs.

DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists are working non-stop for 140 days in a row and are repairing equipment and lines again and again, as soon as it becomes possible.
