DTEK restored electricity to almost 18,000 families in the Donetsk region

Over the course of a day, DTEK Donetsk Grids specialists have completely or partially restored electricity to 16 settlements in the Donetsk region. Energy workers continue to restore power supply in the region immediately after obtaining a permit for work performance from the military.

DTEK restored electricity to almost 18,000 families in the Donetsk region

Despite active hostilities, DTEK Donetsk Grids emergency and repair crews, with the permission of the military, were able to restore electricity to residents of 16 settlements, thus restoring power to homes of 17,938 families in Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk districts.

For instance, energy workers were able to restore electricity to 9,500 families in Toretsk community, which were left without electricity yesterday and the day before. Meanwhile, electricity was restored to 4,100 families in Bakhmut community in less than 24 hours. Besides, specialists of the energy company were also performing restoration activities in Marinka, Sloviansk and Avdiivka communities.

Let us recall that due to active hostilities in the Donetsk region performance of restoration activities requires a permit from the military. As soon as shelling stops and energy workers obtain a permit – they immediately commence restoration activities.

Active fighting is underway in the Donetsk region. Massive shelling cause damage to the grids and shutdown of energy enterprises of the region. The situation is difficult. Therefore, we ask our customers to treat the situation with understanding.

320 settlements in the Donetsk region remain without electricity. The most difficult situation is in the areas of Sloviansk, Avdiivka, Marinka, Toretsk and Bakhmut.
